In a poll conducted by a website, Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s Attarintiki Daaredi was voted as the much awaited film of the year. Mahesh’s 1-Nennokkadine came second. This proves that the craze for Pawan Kalyan hasn’t died down. Though he has had only one hit Gabbar Singh, the audience seems to be waiting for a huge hit from Pawan Kalyan. The result come as a surprise as Mahesh in top form and has had a hit run in the recent past. More surprising is the fact that the Mahesh’s film did not poll half as many votes as Attarintiki Daaredi. NTR’s next Ramayya Vastavayya and Ram Charan’s Yevadu and Zanjeer did not come anywhere near to the other two films. However since both Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh have a mass following, they always top the polls.
Most of their fans too are internet-savvy. Invariably Pawan Kalyan tops the poll. So, it may not be totally correct to calculate which film has more craze among the public, by this single poll. But it would be wiser to go by what Prabhas has to say on this – a hero becomes a number one star only when he continues to have huge fan following despite not having a single hit in a decade.
